Our units are situated at the far end of American River, quiet even by Kangaroo Island standards!!! We are about 3 minutes walk from the lagoon with beautiful views across to Island Beach and the mainland in the far distance. Pennington Bay, which is a great surf beach for swimming and beach fishing is about 10 minutes drive away.

The general store/petrol station/bottle shop, which sells most of your day to day needs, is about 10 minutes walk away. If you don't feel like cooking there are restaurants in the area, or you can go further afield to Kingscote or Penneshaw. On Friday evenings, we particularly recommend a visit to "The Shed" for a very reasonably priced meal and a chat with the locals.
